Lucas is one of the largest manufacturers of remanufactured automotive parts to the European aftermarket. Since 1979 the company has managed the process from spare parts and production to sales and service.
Joseph Lucas founded the company in 1860 and the company would subsequently be known under the name; Lucas Industries. Together with his son, Harry Lucas, Joseph Lucas developed his business. Up till 1902 the family-owned company produced small metal components, but after the development of the business, the company now began to produce electronic spare parts for the automotive industry. Until the 1970s, Lucas was the largest supplier of automotive parts to the British dealers.
Today, in cooperation with BORG Automotive, Lucas offers A/C compressors, starters and alternators. The cooperation reflects the same effort, dedication and eye for detail, which have expressed the Lucas brand for more than 130 years.
